[Kurzwort] das, -s, weiße, bitterlich schmeckende kristalline Substanz, Abkömmling des Cumarins, ein als Gegenspieler des Vitamins K wirkendes blutgerinnungshemmendes Mittel; wird u. a. zur Behandlung von Thrombosen verwendet, ferner als Gift in Rattenvertilgungsmitteln (Tod durch Verbluten). Dicumarol entsteht unter Einfluss eines Schimmelpilzes in Süßkleeheu und kann beim Vieh Blutungen verursachen.
